The article suggests using "strategies like retrieval, spaced practice and successive relearning" in order to help students transfer information to other contexts or future academic situations. One particular tool many classes can fit in to already full schedules is weekly quizzes. The article suggests quizzes occurring regularly provide information for not only teachers, but for students as well as they work to determine what they do and do not know. Things to consider at the start of a new school year!

Nowadays, not using any type of social media makes you feel like you don't "belong", and changes your relationships. Hanging out with firends has a whole other aspect now, because we don't communicate together anymore but someone will tweet whatthe other person just said or someone else will snapchat the game that you are playing. |

Thanks for posting this update. I just read the full research report from the study. It's disappointing to see that there was zero attention given to health, safety, and developmental concerns regarding the screen use. There needs to be greater connection across researchers in health, technology, and education http://bit.ly/screen_time
