I really enjoyed the comparison between dessert and the main course. PBL is the main course because it provides a framework for the students learning. While the dessert is simply doing a project because it fun and engaging for a short time.

Reminder of PBL isn't hands off when the students begin. Teachers need to check for understanding. PBL doesn't mean that the students are left to learn everything themselves.
