Lina Kherfan's curator insight,

this article focuses on the counterproductive habits that every student faces at least once in their learning careers at some point and how not only to fix them but how to use them in a positive way. for example the author talks about the fear of failure. often times being afraid to fail makes students have unneeded stress, and try to strive for perfection. however in the article the author gives solutions for how to fix this problem. for example, it is important to remember that no one is perfect and striving for it in work or school is nearly impossible and can just cause unhealthy stress. it is important to remember that and just do your best and that way you will do good in your work. the article also brings up other bad habits like not asking for help, not realizing information is changing, not learning from others or helping others learn, and setting low expectations for yourself and the situation you are in. i can say that i think that it is super important to break these habits if you want to become successful in school. when i was younger i definitely struggled with a few of these but after reading a similar article i made the effort to break these habits and replace them with good ones and ever since i have not only done better in school but i have also actually enjoyed going to school now.
