This article related to technology and education provides an insight about the advantages that it brings to the reading culture on young learners the digital texts, as it increases the frequency that the students dedicate to reading compared to the physical books. This has been studied and concluded as the digital era and the immersion on the everyday use of technology that best motivates students to read, plus they feel the excitement of finishing one book and be able to access to another one immediately; so mainly is about accessibility, facility and familiarity with the gadgets of technology, however, the reading skills developed in this process is, as expressed in the article by Willingham,  "... good in some ways, and bad in others,” since the children are usually more interested in selfies than reading an article online so the texts they encounter allow them to have a wide range of vocabulary.

Then again reading comprehension is not much developed as Willingham is concerned that with the influence of the digital environment can make their bain more fast-paced and that makes them read without paying much attention as they are easily bored and distracted since they brain has been used to work on a fast pace and reding is more on slow pace needing to pay attention and have the interest to pay attention.

With this in mind and in light of the current context, the article speaks what is daily evidenced worldwide with reading skills and the overwhelmed use of digital gadgets. It is still important and necessary to have the students enrolled with the technology and education as they are not isolated and being in the era of technology it is a necessity for the teacher to merge the digital tools and the skills development. It is possible to foster the reading culture in students that can make them keep extending the vocabulary knowledge and at the same time generate that motivation and excitement for young learners to read, as instead of just reading like scamming and skimming what needs to be encouraged is reading comprehension and critical reading.
