Here is an amazing article outlining 8 key elements to a successful and engaging digital classroom. In the article they talk about workflow, especially in younger students giving them too much work especially technology based can make them form negative opinions about the technology they are using. It talk about keeping learners engaged through having fun and also making the content specific and relevant. This really helped me understand the students needs out of an interactive lesson and how disengaged they can become online. Reading this has helped me greatly understand technology in the classroom and i will be sure to remember and implement these strategies in my classroom one day. I also liked how it integrated the SMAR model into it giving an example on how simple tasks can be expanded to suit the four levels of SMAR.

There is clear evidence that technology has changed the world where we are today. For that reason, the importance of including technological tools in the classrooms has increased considerably. Moreover, it is important to say that students need more than just know and use these technological tools; they need to develop some skills such as collaboration, willingness to try and fail among others in order to become the the leaders in technology of the future. Also, one of the main purpose of the teachers is to foster curiosity in their learners and inspire them to participate in the digital era. This article contains very important information for my future work as a teacher since it shows me how I can inspire my students to take an active participation not only in their learning process but also in the digital era in which they can share different knowledge and also, they can receive feedback about their work. Now, I am aware that including digital tools in my classes is not enough; I need to find ways to encourage my students to be future digital leaders.
