Building a Positive Classroom Culture  by Katie Christie

Building a Positive Classroom Culture  by Katie Christie | iGeneration - 21st Century Education (Pedagogy & Digital Innovation) | Scoop.it
We're diving into our top 4 creative and powerful ways you can implement right away to create that positive classroom culture you have been craving.
Daniela Valencia Osorio's curator insight, March 13, 2020 5:12 PM
The truth is that the environment in the classroom is a key aspect that affects students' motivation for better or for worse.
This article provides four useful tips for teachers to create a positive classroom culture. The first one is about being close to our students by shaking hands at the beginning of the day and by asking them how they are feeling. Then we can ask them their expectations about the class and the people around them so as to get to agreements and ground rules that must be followed in class. Additionally, a team atmosphere must be created in order to make learners aware of the importance of having a good relationship with each other during the courses. Finally, if the efforts are not working, the team needs to get to new agreements again.
The article is such a helpful element for future teachers to work together with their students to build a positive environment for learning that is full of teamwork and motivation.
Natalia Arias M's curator insight, March 15, 2020 2:17 PM
And as teachers, we work to create a community where all students feel safe, supported and heard, no matter the dynamics in the room.
Mario Andres Henao's curator insight, April 12, 2020 2:39 PM
I think it is important to have a good environment in the classroom, fro the students to enjoy the classes and what the teacher is explaining and for the teacher to give a good class, this tips are very useful and allow the teacher to apply strategists to have a good and positive classroom.

Quick ways to build a positive classroom community by  Matthew Lynch

Quick ways to build a positive classroom community by  Matthew Lynch | iGeneration - 21st Century Education (Pedagogy & Digital Innovation) | Scoop.it
Spread the loveA positive classroom community doesn’t happen by itself. Teachers develop positive classroom communities with every action, regardless of how small and insignificant the gestures may seem. What makes them work is that they are individualized, personable, and repeated consistently. To develop a positive classroom community think about groups of strategies you can use. Before the start of school Send your students a welcome letter. Many teachers find this strategy useful in reaching out positively to students and their families. Remember, though that a picture is worth a thousand words. If you’ve had a chance to get into your …

A classroom is a special place. Every day it comes to life and potentially hundreds of students pass through the door on a weekly basis. But I would like to propose that classrooms are often uninspiring places to be. Messy, unorganised, broken chairs, wires that lead nowhere and piles of paper.

EDU in 90: What's New with Google Classroom - YouTube

EDU in 90 is a new video series from Google for Education. Each episode, we'll focus on an important topic for educators, administrators, and school leader
Pamela Alaniz's curator insight, May 13, 2019 9:02 PM
This short YouTube video offering the insights and updates that are new to Google classroom was quick but very on point with the information it presented. It showed you how to make those new changes on your Google classroom, as well as introduced that if you were not teaching a specific class, but for the new school year you are teaching it your administrators and co-workers who used to teach that class before can send you their files to your google classroom page. The coursework can be transferable between faculty making it that much easier for you to set up your new class and without the struggles of creating a whole new class coursework, although you can change coursework according to how you see fit but you would have a general idea of the objectives being taught. Plus this was the first visual presentation  I got to see that showed how a student view on assignments looks, which is important for someone who has not messed with Google classroom. The website also provides the how-to's and plenty of other resources for teachers to use.

Incorporating Google Classroom in my class has changed the way I teach and keep my students engaged. This article talks about ways a teacher can use Google Classroom to manage assignments and homework, as well as grade and comment on students graded assignments. The use of Google Calendar allows students to know when a certain assignment is what what assignments will be coming up. A teacher may also add multimedia presentations and videos to allow for student engagement and classroom discussions. Google mail allows educators to stay in contact with students and parents. If a teacher is interested in hosting a meeting remotely, then Google Meets would fulfill this need and help students who may be absent or may need to be taught remotely.

madywalker24@gmail.com's curator insight, October 11, 2021 7:44 AM
If you explore the Internet, you will find great career tips for mechanical engineers. However, you must pay heed to those who offer online assignment writers . And if you want concise guidance, then go through this blog. 1. Choose a Reputed International Engineering School Let's be honest here- name sells in this world. If you wish to impress the hiring manager, you have to include the name of a renowned institute in your CV. If you wish to stand out from the rest of the applicants, names like MIT, UC Berkeley or RWTH Aachen will help you a lot. Moreover, your grades matter too. If you struggle with a mechanical engineering assignment citation, you must use tools like ANSYS Assignment Help. 2. Ensure that You Pick the Right Country The more countries you travel to and people you meet, the more you learn about different problem-solving ways. And there will always be countries where the need for mechanical engineers would be higher than in other nations. But, you also must remember that you will face intense competition too. So, analyse your career prospects accordingly in the UK, the USA, Europe, Australia, etc. Meanwhile, you can use a citation machine for MLA if you need help with citations in your academic papers. 3. Start Gaining Experience Early on For hiring managers, experience is another factor that counts the most. Begin developing your Mechanical Engineering skills during your undergraduate studies by participating in internships, volunteering, part-time work, or shadowing professionals. You'll have the best chance of graduating with not only a wonderful diploma but also practical job expertise. But your engineering grades matter too. So, if you struggle with a question, avail study help in UK without hesitation. 4. Follow Industry Leaders You should follow in the footsteps of the industry leaders and other senior mechanical engineers. Assess your condition and ask for tips and suggestions from a successful engineer. Check what is currently in demand in the market. Also, you should stay in contact with your university and college professors, who might help you with the referral system in companies. Taking tests is also crucial for performing well in interviews and written tests. You will come across various mock test-taking platforms online. And if you need assistance with a particular concept, get online Dissertation help from professional experts. If you are concern about mcdonald’s case study solution then must visit it. Virtual Teaching and Learning News by Melissa Ruiz's curator insight, February 4, 2021 12:00 PM
It is important for teachers to understand that Google Site, Google Classroom, and Blogger are not the same thing. They each have different functions and cannot replace each other. Google classroom is a blended platform in which teachers can assign tests and house important content. Google Sites is not a learning management system. It is mostly a way to curate information for students, but it isn't where students will be completing and submitting work.
Blogger is not a learning management system. It is a way for teachers to share work with other teachers, post video lessons, and deliver resources. Students will access it to get information, but will not be submitting any work through Blogger.
