Excellent starting point in understanding the language around educational technology. This blog easily explains the different between blended, flipped, and remote learning. Also included are is the difference between synchronous and asynchronous learning. Blended combines online learning with in person instruction. Flipped focuses on learning concepts at home before in depth analysis in the classroom and remote learning if fully virtual instruction.

It's really interesting to see the rapid growth of on-line learning in our classrooms. It's not just a home-schooling option any more.

Blended learning with Edpuzzle offers a dynamic and personalized educational experience. Start by curating or creating interactive video lessons that cater to your curriculum. Assign these videos as homework, allowing students to learn at their own pace. Utilize Edpuzzle's analytics to gain real-time insights into students' comprehension, and make the most of in-class time for collaborative activities and addressing individual learning needs. This seamless integration of online video content and interactive in-person activities enhances engagement and supports a more flexible and effective learning environment.

The first question we have to ask ourselves is "what is Blended Learning?" It is the combination of traditional "face-to-face" instruction and online learning via activities, assignments, videos, posts, etc. The format for any Blended Learning classroom typically follows one of four possible models: Lab, Rotation, Flex, or Pod. These models help establish classroom guidelines, expectations, and culture for the year. Each model can be used in the course of a regular school day and can be mixed and matched as the teacher sees fit. This is why Blended Learning is so flexible-because humans need their learning to be flexible, too.

A leader must always be willing to grow professionally and be open to learning new things at all times. A leader does not have all the answers.

Blended Learning is a team effort. School Leaders, such as admin and counselors, also play a major role in the success of blended learning. Leaders have the roles of innovators and ambassadors and to maintain the success blended learning brings to the classrooms. The amount of support leaders provide educators will be returned ten-fold by the success of their students.

Blended learning is key to station rotation. It can be incorporated into any discipline. Sometimes it may be a strict schedule; other times, it may be up to the teacher, depending on their grouping. This article provides four major blended models: rotations, flex, a la carte, and enriched virtual.
