Last week Padlet introduced a revamped version of their online corkboard tool. The core functions of Padlet are still the same, but the user interface has changed a little bit.

Padlet has recently added a new layout option and Richard Byrne provides a step-by-step guide on how to use Padet as well as "ideas and directions for using Socrative and TodaysMeet." Padlet has been available for quite a few years (and was first known as Wallwisher) and works on a variety of platforms. It may be used collaboratively and Byrne suggests using it as an exit ticket. Socrative is a student response system and TodaysMeet is a backchannel chat room.

An excellent tool for teachers to share ideas with students in an interactive way. Good for starting discussion and promoting thoughts and ideas around a particular topic. |

Why choose to use Padlet? Aside from the fact that is free, it does not require that register. Gleeson recommends that as a teacher you create an account so that all the "walls" you create are in one place. This post provides detailed instructions on how to create a wall and includes two projects that he has done with his students. If you have not checked out Padlet I suspect you will after you read this post!

I'm using Padlet in a variety of ways, including gathering teacher and student ideas and for feedback about any shifts in practise related to the work I do as a Facilitator of Professional Learning for teachers.
