I personally am all in when it comes to tapping into our strengths as leaders.
I see the power, clarity, and confidence that leaders leverage when they know that they can leverage their strengths to help them achieve their goals.
Several of the leadership courses that we offer have used the Strengths Finder assessment together with their traditional 360 or replaced completely.
I particularly agree with the statement in the article:
Leadership is a privilege, not a right, and we need to treat it as such. Leadership means encouraging people to live up to their fullest potential and find the path they love. That, and only that, will create a strong culture and sustainable levels of innovation.

What's required in any organization, business, industry, military unit is a collection of people with different talents/strengths energized towards a higher purpose. A good leader's purpose is to recruit, grow, and mobilize these diverse people with diverse talents to work together -- that's when the magic can happen ... when the impossible becomes the achievable ... when obstacles become things to be hurdled ... when setbacks become opportunities ... and when the total of the organization becomes more than the mere sum of its people parts.
