Here's what caught my attention:

 

  • Pinterest is one of the best social networks to attract buyers and website subscribers. The jQuery Pin It Button highlights your blog images for easy pinning.

 

  • You no longer have to just use a mobile device to manage your Instagram account(s). Grum helps you to schedule your images and posts ahead of time with related hashtags and emojis.

 

  • There are a lot of CRM products out there -- one of the best to check out is from Hubspot. Their free tool helps you to gain valuable insights on your leads and monitor your community.

Research shows the use of social media at Fortune 500 has stalled, or perhaps even re-trenched.


This article for 'Grow' presents Data  provided by the Center for Marketing Research at the University of Massachusetts.


What particularly caught my attention is:


***The almost universal uptake of Social Media by Universities and Charities.


***The divergence in uptake between Fortune 500 companies - the "titans" of American Business, and the INC 500, comprising America's fastest growing companies


A perhaps even more interesting divergence among the Fortune 500 where:


***The top 100 companies are the most active blogging companies.


***Only 17% of the next 400 companies blog.


It would be easy to conject as to the reasons for these stark differences, but I choose to let the numbers speak for themselves.  I will, however, be on the lookout for further pieces and more in-depth Data on this intriguing puzzle.

Study Reveals Engaging Content Wins Over Readers

 

The creative locations in the brain respond to certain types of storytelling. I agree that in order to attract an audience you need to understand what how they respond.

 

Aughtmon shows us how the mind if affected when presented with a catchy story.

 

Here's what caught my attention:

 

  • Stories activate larger areas in the brain – ones that "represent different aspects of meaning." Our mind isn't just listening, but it's also engaging.

 

  • The study shows that our brains are trying the comprehend what's happening in a story. It acts like a computer and starts to analyze the data.

 

  • Our minds will try to anticipate what is going to happen next. The brain actually sees what is being described visually.
