Le Marche Wine Excellence: Marotti Campi Morro d'Alba | Good Things From Italy - Le Cose Buone d'Italia | Scoop.it

Morro D’Alba is a medieval village situated between the towns of Jesi and Senigallia. Here, on gently rolling hills framed by both the Appenine Mountains and the Adriatic sea, lies Sant’Amico, a settlement which dates back to Roman Times.
The winery Marotti Campi was built in 1999 and is represented by Giovanni and Francesca with their son Lorenzo and they are proud to vinify exclusively their grapes. The capacity is 6000 and they use pneumatic press where the hand-picked grapes are softly crushed. For the white wines they use reductive techniques to preserve the vibrant, fresh varietal grape character, we use dry ice during the harvest and azote in the winery to lower the grapes temperature and lessen the oxidation of the flavours. Marotti Campi stores the bottles in a temperature controlled environment at 10-18°C providing optimal ageing conditions. In 2010 we have installed solar panels achieving energy self-sufficiency
The estate totals 120 hectares, of which 52 are vineyards that lie on hillsides at approximately 180 meters above the sea level. The soil is mixed predominantly clay...
