GetAtMe Urban Airplay Scorecard 3/25/2016 Kevin Gates 2 PHONES tops the chart in spin increases this week... #ItsAboutTheMusic | GetAtMe | Scoop.it

Okay here’s this week’s GetAtMe Urban Radio Scorecard.  The measuring of spin increases in urban radio vs Itunes sales position is the truest indication of a songs performance in sales vs airplay exposure.  At the end of the day the best measure of performance is actual sales of a song, not how much noise it makes in the market.  All the exposure in the world means nothing if you don’t get sales.  Here’s the stats:

  • Kevin Gates’ ‘2PHONES’ top the charts with a spin increase of 690 spins (this song really has hung in there and has had consistent sales on itunes for the last month and a half. Still at #24 on itunes (This cut was a real silent winner…).  Next Desiigner’s PANDA (the little train that could…), sitting at #19 on itunes with a spin increase of 686 spins (right behind Kevin Gates…).  Rihanna’s WORK fell to #3 but still remains in the itunes top 10 at #6 with 486 spin increases (Rihanna is no joke…).  OT Genesis CUT IT is a strong street and club cut but it still is trying to hang on in the itunes top 200 at #161 (street buzz is cool but you gotta have sales…) with 453 spin increases and Dreezy BODY (I know right…) hit #5 and is sitting at #118 on itunes with 421 spins increases..

That’s this week’s GetAtMe Urban Airplay Scorecard for 3/25/2016
