GetAtMe How did Tupac become the voice of a hiphop generation...? #IAintMadAtCha | GetAtMe | Scoop.it

How is it that the hype man for a cartoon hiphop act (Digital Underground…) winds up being the voice of a hiphop generation but 20 years later his voice still echoes through society like a cultural lighthouse for the hiphop lost.  Was Tupac a hiphop prophet?

Tupac oozed with chemistry and creativity but he also was very intuned to the feelings and the struggles of struggling urban Americans, especially the youth in urban areas.  Why, because he was one of them and he really understood their perspective because he lived it at times.  Tupac was a man for all seasons in hiphop culture.

Tupac’s views are still very poignant even in today’s times.  Sometimes when you watched Tupac's actions but then listened to his ministry, you realized you were dealing with 2 very different personalities.  Tupac also had the talent of being baller bait (cats with money that wanted the juice and acceptance for being in the music business (this talent may have been the foundation for his death…).  Many times Tupac would draw these folks in with the magic of being the next HipHop Giant backer (oooh the B*tches…) and that packaged dream may have been the very thing that set his demise in motion.

Tupac was good at telling you (and feeding you...) your wants to achieve the desired power he wanted (he had the natural instincts of a politician).  Tupac didn’t care what the other guy wanted, he catered to his tribe and made the other tribes the enemies (a true conflict alchemist he was…).  Tupac was so good at this that even after 20 years many of his tribesmen swear that he’s still alive and is plotting his resurrection (does this story sound familiar…?).  they wait like patient disciples (“You’ll see…”).

Tupac died way to early and no one could imagine the impact he would still have 20 years later (does anyone even mention C. Deloris Tucker without a Tupac context?  My Point.  His impact (no matter how disruptive his strategies were…) bonded him to a generation that has said over and over again “My man Pac speaks for me…”  “I aint mad at cha…”  Remember, “there nothing wrong with the record business that a good record cant cure…”
