Okay here’s this week’s GetAtMe TopTen.  Tory Lanez’s LUV is still num 1.  Tory Lanez’s seems real unwilling to give up the top slot (and DRAM jut hangs in trying to get it back…)  Here’s the stats:

• Tory Lanez LUV stays at num1 (the sales and the Shazam numbers are still strong…) while R.A.M. BROCCOLI stays at num 2 (NY literally is keeping this cut out of num 1 in radio and Shazam numbers…)
• The WeekNd STARBOY is num 3 (shot straight up to num 3. Strong sales numbers and shazams…) and at num 4 is ChanceTheRapper NO PROBLEM (this record would be num1 if it had any sales… #Itscrazy)
• Drake CONTROLLA fell to num 5 and Lucci KEY TO THE STREETS moved from num 10 to num 6 (also another cut that would be higher if it has sales…)
• Usher NO LIMIT fell from num 3 to num 7 and Dj Drama WISHING went from num 9 to num 8…
• Rae Sremmurd BLACK BEATLES is number 9 and PartyNextDoor COME AND SEE ME (we picked this cut 5 months ago…) came in at num 10.
• Young M.a Ooouuu is still on deck which is crazy because she’s winning all the areas but urban radio (there were signs of support this week…) and Kanye’s West new cut FADE is our other ON DECK cut…

Look I know I’m way early out there on this new Tory Lanez NO SCRUBS (TLC), but folks I just like this one.  Because I am so early it affected its score but this cut still came out a B- (so that mean this cut can do it its thing anyway…).  On this GetAtMe EchoMixxx we feature Tory Lanez remake of the TLC classic NO SCRUBS.  This is by far the best answer record I’ve heard to this cut.  Why, because Tory kept this cut true to itself and he was still able to give the song his definition and style.  Here’s the stats:

• Tory Lanez NO SCRUBS (TLC)- score 17.9 out of 30 pts grade B-…  Okay like I said, I’m real early on this cut so it hasn’t had the opportunity to get real sales or radio attention (I just liked it so much I couldn’t wait…).  This is a great track and performance.  We did a Dj Neek Just4U mix with a fatter drum kick but this cut is the real…#TryinToHollaAtMe
• TheWeekNd STARBOY score 22.8pts and a grade of B+ This cut is already a hit (the sales numbers have been crazy. As a matter of fact the retail was way ahead of online, the clubs and radio (a good problem…)  The WeekNd fans were lined up like an iphone or Jordans launch to get The WeekNds new music (like I said a good problem…)  #TheWeekndIsBack
• Young M.a. OOOUUU score 22.2pts grade B This cut also has great legs as it inches its way to the top. Its staying in the itunes top 100 really helped this song score… #TheseHatersOnMyBodyShakeEmOff
• Remy Ma HANDS DOWN score 18.4 grade B This cut should be the follow up to ALL THE WAY UP (why aint Fat Joe on this cut?) but without Fat Joe it seems like it may miss the window. This is a great cut but Remy’s choice of Rick Ross and Yo Gotti (although they did great work on the cut...) as features instead of riding The Fat Joe and Remy wave, may have been a calculated mistake, and that a shame to because this is a great song…#IfItsNotBrokeWhyChangeIt

Look I know I’m way early on this cut (and I hate being too early on a song without proven sales…) but when I heard this cut I just had to put my djs and readers up on it.  Tory Lanez has another one with this chopped version of T.L.C.’s SCRUBS  (TLC).  This is the 1st time I’ve heard a dude do an answer record to this song that was hot (really he delivered on this cut…)

In an industry that often (if not always…) celebrates who hot and who’s not, Tory reminds a young lady of the way he was treated before fame and that he never really forgot those feelings.  In a nutshell “I’m giving you the same business you gave me, just only in a different way…”

This chopped version is hot for mixtapes and will be rocking in the stripclubs (so now we have SCRUBS 2016…#LSMH).  This one’s definitely going in rotation…  #InTheMix #DjAlert

Okay here’s this edition of the GetAtMe Top Ten.  The cut that’s viraling everywhere this week is The WeekNd’s STARBOY, but it hadn’t had really enough radio play to hit our chart (ohh but it tried…) and it is currently an On Deck item.  Here’s the stats for 10/3/2016

• Tory Lanez LUV (which apparently urban radio loves…) moved back to num 1 because of a huge surge in urban radio play and DRAM’s BROCCOLI fell to num 2 (still very strong sales numbers…)
• Usher’s NO LIMIT moved up to num 3 (with strong album sales…) and Drake’s CONTROLLA went to num 4…
• Rihanna NEEDED ME stayed at num 5 and ChanceTheRapper NO PROBLEM was a new entry at num 6 (I love the dreadheads in the lobby line…#lsmh)
• Dj Khaled FOR FREE still is holding strong at num 7 and Beyonce HOLD UP moves to num 8…
• Dj Drama WISHING goes to num 9 (GetAtMeHotNewHit pick last week….) and at num 10 is Lucci’s KEY TO THE STREETS (this song would have been in the top 3 if it just had had some itune sales. It still is only at num 615 on iTunes…)
• ON DECK is still Young M.A. OOOUUU (still making its way through urban radio…) and like I said earlier, The WeekNd STARBOY is dominating all the other categories in one week and it’s on its way to urban radio and the top of that chart also…

 Man Urban radio right now is in a mad “Luv” affair with Tory Lanez’s ‘LUV’ This cut is so midday friendly and daypart friendly…).  For the 4th week in a row Tory Lanez has led all other in spin increases in Urban Radio with over 400+ spin increases.  Like we always say, “a hit is a hit…”  Here’s the stats:

• Tory Lanez LUV is at num 1 with over 400+ spins increases this week (4 weeks in a row…)
• Drake’s TOO GOOD Man we were on this cut months ago and it was amazing that it took this long to drop (based on its itunes sales which were massive…) It came in this week with 393 spin increases…
• Beyonce HOLD UP is the next cut in the Beyonce Movement and at 390+ spin increases this week is on its way to another Beyonce hit…
• Wiz Khalifa PULL UP was added heavily last week and that caused an upsurge in spin increases (376+ spin increases)
• Lil Yachty ONE NIGHT there’s a strong industry push on this and radio has ablighed them with 344 + spin increases this week…

On June 22 2016, we told you to check out Tory Lanez LUV and today 2 months later its one of the hottest track out right now and #1 in our GetAtMeTopTen (a compilation of radio chart positions, Itunes sales and Shazam positions).  All of these numbers gives us here at GetAtMe an accurate view of who is really on top in ThisBusinessOfHipHop.

Of course you need Urban Radio numbers to gauge audience taste and the Shazam numbers help us get a feel of audience’s interest online but the itunes sales are the final say.  I don’t care what anyone says about a stream, when a customer buys on itunes download it says volumes about their support for you as an artist.  It’s easy to listen to free music but the real commitment is that bought download.  The bought download is the ultimate validation that you are a true fan.  The free downloads and YouTube views start the conversation (and that’s real important, don’t let anyone fool you…) but the actual downloaded sale speaks volumes.  When a fan buys, that says it all and it’s only a $1.29 (the same price of a McDouble at McDonalds…).  The ultimate “I appreciate your music” is that someone bought it.

We’ve watched this Tory Lanez from the jump and followed its progression and as I’ve said, the work speaks for itself.

Man this Tory Lanez Luv is really doing it.  This is the 3rd week in a row that he’s been tops in Urban Radio spins increases.  What can I say a hit is a hit?  Here’s the stats:

• Tory Lanez LUV is still num 1 with still over 500+ spin increases for 3 weeks in a row. Back with our 1st post on 6/22/2016, we told you this was gonna be a big one… #ToldYa
• Kehlani CRZY is at num 2 and this cut here is getting a massive spin push increase of 470+ spins … #WeWillSee

On this GetAtMe3PcSnack DjAlert we feature ToryLanez “LUV’ (this is a great cut…) and then we have the new Dj Mustard ‘DON’T HURT ME’ Jeremih and Nicki deliver great performances on this new Dj Mustard track… #MustardOnTheBeat).  We wind it up with a new Dreezy ‘CLOSE TO YOU’ (we’re way early on this cut.  The cut they’re pushing is ‘SPAZZ’ but when I heard this cut I said wow…).  TPain once more deliver a great track and if urban radio catches on this cut then it will be huge.  #Great Song.

Ok here at GetAtMe we decided to create a mix where we could give some new and interesting indie artist exposure to our dj’s (along with continuing to present the hottest new tracks we like). So this is GetAtMeDJAlert 5On5 (and these first 5 area great debuts.  I liked all of these cuts the more I heard them...)  Here’s the stats:

• We started out with Tory Lanez new cut ‘LUV’ (this dude’s music is the truth…). Tory Jumps into the summer dancehall groove movement while staying true to what he does (great song). He scored a 73.7 grade B
• Next we mixed in the new Dreezy ft TPain (this dude has done some great work lately #ThisIndustryShit #SMH) ‘CLOSE TO YOU’ . This is one of the best cut I’ve heard of late.  I sped it up and that gave it a real groove energy (djs are gonna love this cut and radio should also…).  It scored a 69.6 pts grade B.
• Next we mixed in a new hiphop indie act that’s getting a real underground buzz online Phil Simple ‘MS APPLEBAUM’. First it was brave to redo such a huge hiphop classic and also to transform it to 2016 (literally).  Phil Simple got down on this cut and djs are gonna like this remake of this hiphop classic (what’s in the water in Fayetteville NC.  First JCole and now Phil Simple #LSMH).  It scored a 66.2 pts (which is high due to this cuts lack of industry muscle and juice #IndiesTakeNote).  Grade B.
• The next cut mixed in was Yo Trane’s ‘LATE NIGHT DRIVE’. This cut Is a soundcloud driven cut but the industry hasn’t caught it yet.  This is a great cut and really deserves an ear (especially if you mixed in ‘UBER EVERYWHERE’ #lsmh).  Great hiphop/rnb cut and definitely a #DjAlert.  It scored a 64.2 pts and its grade was B.
• Now my surprise this issue was a cut I found in the threads. They were really only talking about how fine this artist was (and whether she could get it...) but they peaked my interest and that made me go take a listen to her music (and yes she is fine and can get it… #lsmh).  Now Jess Molli’s cut ‘IM WIT IT’ was a surprise (the more I heard it, the more I liked it…).  She has a potential stripclub banger (this song sounds a lot like Young Joc’s ‘ITS GOING DOWN’. Really… a lot) and it could mess around and get legs (all she gotta do is get a Gucci feature and this one’s gone #HintHint).  Hope she hears this (#LoudAndClear).  It scored a 52.8 pts but that was only because of her lack of industry muscle but if they position this cut right it could do things (this song could easily be a VINE VIRAL #HintHint if the strategy is executed correctly.  Now remember if this cut blows up, who said it first? #GetAtMe (sometime I gotta remind folks #lsmh).  Its grade is C.

• Dj Khaled has 3 cuts on the chart this week (FOR FREE, DO YOU MIND, I GOT THE KEYS) trending in the iTunes top 200…
• Young M.a. OOOUUUU is num 1 in the ATL and is one of NY’s hottest cuts. Where’s L.A.?...

Ok, told yall ‘LUV’ by Tory Lanez was a smash and the numbers are coming in.  Your Urban Airplay spin increases, sometime says more about a songs trending activity more than the actual position.  The spin increases indicate radio movement on a record as a whole and therefore gives you an ideas of what’s really popping in urban radio.  Here’s this week’s stats:

• Tory Lanez ‘LUV’ is on top this week with over 500 new spins. It sits at num 80 on iTunes (it has hovered in the 80 positioned for the last 2 weeks…)… #ItsAHit
• Drake ‘CONTROLLA’ Man the OVO’s people really wanted this cut (but it still haven’t outperformed ‘TOO GOOD’ on iTunes sales). The streets buzzed on this cut and now urban radio is on it.  It’s at num 39 on iTunes… #StreetSeeker
• Usher ‘NO LIMIT’ This cut features Young Thug ( #StreetCred ) and is a sort of ode to Master P’s No Limit tag. This clearly is an industry push cut.  Whether the kids bite (due toYoung Thug) is still up in the air.  Currently at num 111 on iTunes… #NoLimitBaby
• Dae Dae ‘WHAT U MEAN’ is our real street seeker at num 4 but its lack of iTunes sales drags it down (but the buzz in the street is real). It got 371 new spins and hasn’t made it in the iTunes 200 yet… #GetItuneThemSales
• DjKhaled ‘I GOT THE KEYS’ is in the 5 slot with 341 new spins. Khaled is using all the industry juice right now (but be aware, too much of an industry push, pushes the kids away…).  Khaled’s people have positioned this cut well and it’s at num 57 on iTunes … #WeTheBestMusic
