Todays station is in Savannah Ga.The Stations program Director and Music Director is Lil G. Now this station is very balanced (This seems to be the norm with all the Clear Channel stations). One of things that caught me with this station was the lack of Female air personalities. This is a all male airstaff (At least that's what's on the website. I loved their overnights, the music was cool great quiet storm overnight format. The middays has moments where they play classic hip hop (Tribe, JJ Fad, ect). This is hot and this really works in the offices. What I heard today was Throwback Thursday. It was cool.
The Morning show was the Rickey Smiley show (okkkkk). I just still believe that the morning show is to important to a stations day part to give it up to a syndication. A lot of stations do this now but I really feel it's hard for you to start the day without your morning man in your market (that's just me). I feel radio audience want to know what's up just not in the world of entertainment but also their home market.
The station is hot (lot's of spots, I swore I heard a 8 to 10 minute stop set in spots #realtalk #GetThatMoney). This going to be a good listen!!!
