Okay on this week’s DjPlease, we spotlight Jazzy Mcbee on Streetz 94.5 in Atlanta Ga. Like I said she’s an Atlanta’s own, Decatur grown product so one thing is for sure, she knows the market. Doing a quick sample of her middays show it became clear that that was the case.
The music was cool she played, all currents and the right recurrents. She played Future LOWLIFE (great midday cut) and Desiigner PANDA (which made massive moves on the station this week with a spin increase of 45 spins). Now even though these were very young records for Atlanta’s midday’s, they were the right cuts for Atlanta. She had a nice interview with Iggy Azalea about her suicide issue and the interview came off real human (#ThatsWhatsUp). She was up on the right online stories and did a cool job of pre selling the stories from set to set. She held me to the next stopset #lsmh.
Her spot load was really club heavy for the middays (a huge surprise) and had the normal sprinkle of injury attorneys and tax repair ads. With 2 other major stations in the market, this says a lot about how sponsors view her market value. It seem like she has no problem filling out her ad log.
