Laine London is a new dance artist (another HipHouse artist in the making…)  With her new cut DROP DAT moving through the streets (next stop mixtape/online…)  Laine has all the makings of a new hit with DROP DAT.   Laine has an aggressive dance style of music and that’s why we made this mix  (BeatMakanixxx DjSingleMix…) with such energy and power.  Here’s the stats:

• TRACK 4.6 pts ($$$$) This track has crazy energy (and you know how we love energy…)  The breaks are great as we rock to this HipDancePop track.  This track is so dancefloor friendly… #OhTheNrg
• PERFORMANCE 4.4 ($$$$) Laine’s voice has an unbridled power that has the tonal impact of a trumpet (this cut sounds straight like a marching band feature cut…) This debut performance really makes us look forward to all her new music… #ImpactPerformance
• MUSCLE 2.8 pts ($$) This cut has all the potential of a viral situation in the streets. Even though it’s not a straight street cut, the dance community should be drawn to the cut.  Online will do its thing if the echoes from the streets sound are loud enough … #OhTheBuzz
• JUICE 1.7 pts ($) Clubs djs might really feel this one (especially the more pop oriented adult entertainment clubs…) The cut will have to prove itself in the other 3 areas (streets, mixtape/online and clubs, which it will do…) for radio to give this cut a fair shot (or they gonna need real New York bread to win…)
• HITFACTOR 3.2 pts ($$$) Live performances and the video ( together…) can deliver this cut.  With the right video (really the right one…) this cut can get all the attention it needs and the interest will be delivered by the club energy.  Like I said, live performances and viral youtube opens the door for this cut… #CheckOutTheVideo
• SONG 3.9 pts ($$$) I like this song, great production and the performance is delivered by Laine London (These horns on here sound like a ‘Call to battle in Gabriel’s army of angels…” #frfr
• TOTAL 20.6 pts (30 pts highest score) grade B…  This cut got a “B’ and that’s high for a new indie.  This is a good cut and execution will be the key to its winning...  A great video will be essential to gather enough attention to drive interest (it really needs to be great and creative…)  As always Live performance creates echoes in the other 4 corners so Laine London need to “get gigging…”

Okay on this GetAtMe3PcSnack, I did this one just for me.  When I started the BeatMakanixxx I knew I was really on a mission to create a true new Dj single as a footprint not just for me but other djs also.  Now it’s time to start putting some of these cuts in the streets and this holiday mix seemed like the timing was right.

I start the mix with a BeatMakanixxx remix of the viral hit U NAME IT. This meme has become the holiday top trending meme and the dj remixes are in play with the UNAME IT challenge.  This U NAME IT has crazy club energy (helped by the fact that comedians blew this cut up in their sets… #ItsADjAlert.  46.1 pts/60pts  (grade B)  (ItsInTheMix…)

Then we have a new mix of Marq Dean HAVE URSELF A MERRY LIL XMAS. This remix is what we call a midnite mix based on the fact this is a real dj and club holiday cut.  The dance crowds are gonna love this in the holiday mix…  #HappyHolidays 29.9 pts/40pts grade C  (MarqDean is on a mission to bring you hiphouse…)

On the 3rd cut I wanted to do something different with the BeatMakanixxx ITS ALL LOVE ON XMAS DAY so I decided to do a JazzHop cut for the holiday in the mindset of the classic SalSoul orchestra music.  I love the blend of a jazz track over a dance groove... #JazzHop 18.9pts/40pts grade D (this JazzHop is new and experimental so that affected the score.  The emergence of JazzHop)

Man every once in a while I just gotta pick the great song (that’s what djs do…)  No industry politics or industry folks on the push.  Just a great song,  this is that song.  Dua Lipa as I’ve said before has the ability of releasing tumblr blogs as singles.  Her connectivity to her fans is amazing.  Young suburban females are really on her team (hmm a model that sings and connects to the primary buying target market, I think that will work… #JustSmart) Look I’m way early on this one (I don’t care, I like the song and the artist… #YouCantPayARealInFluencerToInfluence)  This is for the Djs and the fans (who we are supposed to be reaching anyway… #Ijs ),  Remember “there’s nothing wrong with  the record business that a good record can’t cure…)

Okay in this new mix series DJ REGGIE REDD IWantToHereSomeMuzic, I was trying to put series together where I was comfortable with spotlighting new music (from all forms of dance music…)  I just wanted to make a mix with all of the cuts that moved me this month (without the industry politics…#Sheesh)  Here’s the mix

• We started off the mix with the new Dj Khaled TOP OFF ( a great new cut and it really got some energy with the dance beat we mixed on the bottom…) Then we mixed on the new The WeekNd PRAY FOR ME (another strong cut from The WeekNd.  "This dude really be bringing the hits"…
• Then we mixed in Block Boy JB’s SHOOT Dj NeeK Mix. Dj Neek (  Hot 103.9/93.9 in Columbia S.C.  Host of the “Neek at Noon radio show” and music director for both of the hottest stations in Columbia…) put me on to this cut that was getting crazy viral movement on youtube.  So we did a special mix just for her… #Get2KnowNeek .  BlockBoy JB’s other cut LOOK ALIVE is also trending ( once again the dance beat creates a whole new energy for this cut SHOOT,...) and then we  mix in the new Toni Braxton cut COPING (personally my most favorite cut at this month… #ILoveThisCut)  This cut is Toni’s “I Will Survive” (Thelma Houston) or BELIEVE (Cher).  This is a great dj cut… #DjAlert
• Next we blend in the new Q-Tip ft Demi Lovato DON’T GO BREAKIN MY HEART ( a remake of the Elton John & KiKI Dee classic…) This cut was a real surprise (especially since Q-Tip is not rapping but singing like Pharrell… #GreatChoice)  This is another great dj cut and a hit.  The bass intro is a great loop ( If this was Bruno Mars this would already be a hit… #JustSayin )  Then we mix in a BeatMakanixxx cut featuring Cardi B WHATS LUV GOT TO DO WITH IT (I had to do it… #lol )  It’s no secret that I love Cardi’s music I couldn’t wait to put this Dj Single mix together ( the muses just brought it to me…).  I took the What’s Love Got To Do With it cut (with Fat Joe and Ashanti) and came up with new and fresh Cardi cut (yall gonna love these horn I got in there… #LSMH)  Definitely a dj rotation choice… #InTheMix

Man Joey Sommerville is one of the coolest folks I know, so doing him a djsinglemix was an easy choice for me  (Joey is a very likable dude and really an easy cat to be around…)

I really wanted to create a dance mix that was part RAIN FOREST and part FUNKIN FOR JAMAICA.  With this cut IN THERE, I feel like I got real close.  The more I mixed this cut in the more I felt the magic (dj’s are gonna like this groove…)  This cut crosses all the dance genres from RNB/HopHop to deep house to jazz to house and dance , dj’s will appreciate the music and the beat on this one.

“Laine London is different, and that’s good…”   Laine London is a new artist with a new single DROP DAT and this is her GetAtMe 3PcSnack. Laine has a high energy sound (that dance djs love…) and when you pair that with her interesting visual style, well you get someone that’s different and like I said, “that’s good.”

• We open the mix with Laine London DROP DAT. This high energy track drives the dance floor (we also placed a ‘Ladies’ break from the Beyonce Superbowl performance (#IKnowRight …) underneath to drive the mix…) and with Laine’s vocals and this very driving production (great horns…) this cut will definitely move the floor…

Man sometime I hear a song that just gotta have a dance groove under it, I definitely felt that way on this cut, (maybe it was the spirit…lsmh)  Tasha Cobbs Leonard has a cut that is definitely a game changer.  I’M GETTING READY ft Nicki Minaj is that cut (this one a game changer folks… #DjAlert ).

Tasha Cobbs Leonard bravely collabed with Nicki Minaj and frfr, there is real chemistry.  The big choir sound and her great performance makes for a dj high energy moment (you know that moment when you go oooh weee… as a dj).  This one does that.  I love this cut and I felt it was a great opportunity to highlight it as a DjSingleMix.

The bpm on this cut is 127 bpm and blends with all of today hot dance cuts.  You’re gonna love this cut and its energy.  Wow what a performance and what courage as an artist.  My hat’s off to Ms. Cobbs Leonard for truly being a courageous artist and bringing us this great performance by doing something new and different for her as a performer and her audience.  It’s definitely #InTheMix
