Marisa Mendez has a podcast on Hot 97 FM New York. It’s funny, refreshing and at times controversial. What does Marisa talk about? Her exploits with the stars (and the fans love the stories…). Recently Marisa had a video discussing hanging out with folks (go check the vid out next the article…) and Lil Wayne. The reception from online has been sorta crazy (especially based on many comments I read dudes post on hiphop honies threads on a daily. Dudes really be out there…) So to read some of these comments and attacks about this funny and sexually independent chick, man it’s sorta crazy. To read threads based on would you wife her after hearing her hiphop tales is silly (so chicks can’t be free and have fun as long as it’s safe?)
Anybody who reads my blog knows I’m a real opponent of FINE SHAMING (it’s stupid, who don’t want a fine girl, sh*t who don’t want a fun fine girl for that matter…?) Men constantly brag about their exploits on tracks and in locker rooms so to hear this backlash about this funny and interesting girl is sorta strange. I mean groupies are as much a part of hiphop as the music itself (truth be told getting the groupies are the real trophies and motivators that drive hiphop as a genre. Who don’t like groupies? #WTF)
Hip Hop dudes need to turn it down a couple of levels and grow up (because the chick you’re with probably did worse and you just don’t know it. Chicks are on the low with they freaky usually #ThinkAboutIt). There’s nothing wrong with a sexually independent and cool chick branding herself with hiphop, why? Because like I said, the groupies are why hiphop even exist “truth be told…” Marisa keep doing your thing and enjoy life ma, there is no reset button on life…
