Ok here’s this week’s GetAtMe HotNewHits for 8.2/2016. We had some real surprises this week because there were so many cuts out there this week that was hot... How we pick our hot new hits is that we chose 1 that’s trending in radio, 1 that’s trending in retail and one cut that’s a wildcard (a cut that’s got strong street or club legs. Or maybe a cut we just like. Here’s the stats:
- Taking our top slot this week is Dae Dae WHAT U MEAN 56.6 PTS. This cut has grown through the streets and seeped through online and clubs and now it’s making its presence on urban radio. It still has to conquer retail (currently sitting at num 403 on iTunes). This cut pulled the strongest numbers in SONG FACTOR (12) AND MIX FACTOR (13.6) and ended with a score of 56.6 (out of a 100 pts) total.
- Next we were really liking this new Tinie Tempeh GIRLS LIKE 51.7 PTS. This cut is a hot dance cut (118 bpm) and it’s another dancehall/dance cut but this one is faster (with crazy energy) and is a very dj friendly cut. It had real strong numbers in SONG FACTOR (14) and MIX FACTOR (15.7) but the track had a low MARKET FACTOR score (6) due to it’s a new and different cut. (this cut done by Nicki Minaj becomes a smash, maybe Tinie needs to see if she’ll feature…)
- I really like this new Usher NO LIMIT ft Young Thug. It also scored highest in SONG FACTOR (11) and MIXFACTOR (11.4). This cut grows on you so it’s going to be up to how urban radio spins this cut on air. The retail is at num 117 on iTunes so this one can turn the corner…
