• Ella Mai’s BOO”D UP is on its way to being a hit record. Slowly this cut has made its way through online, the clubs and radio to now have an impactive buzz in the street.  Here’s the stats:
• TRACK 4.2($$$$) This track is hot (very Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis with a dash of Anita Baker…)  This track is a very grown and it works in today microwave fans and listeners… ( “this track feels good…” )
• PERFORMANCE 4.2 ($$$$) Ella Mai delivers a performance that’s very grown for today’s market.  She delivered this cut in an “oh so seductive way”… ( #QuietStorm )
• CONTENT 3,8 ($$$) This is a basic love song (and for real all great love songs are basis…)  Radio will love this cut because the cut is contemporary urban AC with a hiphop flare.  This hook is strong… (would this have been a better fall song ie: Boo season…?)
• MUSCLE 3,2 ($$$) Online (satellite radio) and Music Choice really delivered this cut.  The streets is just getting a whiff of this cut and women are responding…
• JUICE 2.8 ($$) Universal Music is just really getting behind this cut but radio already loves this cut and the live performances will deliver the club action… #InRotation
• HITFACTOR 3.2 ($$$) Radio and airplay will create the attention for this cut but the female demo will have to deliver this cut in retail…
• Total 23.4 pts ( 30 pts) grade B Hot…

When I first heard BOO_D UP by Ella Mai, I knew that this cut was for real (I knew Urban radio was gonna eat this cut up…).  This cut is a great spring/summer cut and be prepared to hear this cut all in the park this summer…

Charlie Puth continues to bring us great music (man him an Bruno Mars know how to pick hits… #FRFR ) and this week he lands 2 cuts in the top ten…

Out of nowhere Childish Gambino brings us THIS IS AMERICA (this video and maybe Kanye’s foolish statements drove crazy online interest in this cut…)  What if this remix had Kendrick or J Cole on it...? (Whooo…)

The Showtime series BILLIONS had a Vince Staples cut STREET PUNKS that caught the ears of the Billions TV fans (mine included) and that interest made this song appear on the iTunes sales chart… #ItsHot
