Marq Dean and Shy Carter have a few things in common. 1, they both are really nice guys (both of these dudes are super cool…), 2. They both have a passion for the music (and that’s real important…) and 3, they both are on their way to doing some things that matter in this business we call music.
Shy Carter is a hit writer (I mean #frfr not play play…). He did Charlie Pugh’s ‘ONE CALL AWAY’ (from Fast and Furious 7. Man I still tear up when I see Paul Walker in that last scene. What a scene to have a song on that will last in time and movie history…). He’s done songs Meghan Trainor, Rob Thomas and currently Billy Currington ( #ByTheWay did I mention Shy was from Nashville #lsmh) and many other artist. Like I said Shy is a nice dude, but the thing that stands out most about Shy is that he just really cool and you can just feel his passion for the music (he oozes it folk #AgainFRFR). In this business where you meet so many cats who seem to have lost that “its about the music” and the fans, man it’s refreshing to run up on someone who not only understands that, but lives it.
Marq Dean is also very nice. Marq really is on a mission to bring this hiphouse music to the mainstream.
“Man I just want folks to just get on the floor and have a good time again” Marq says. “There is nothing like the energy of a dance crowd that’s on the floor while a hit song is playing. Man I’ve just sat there and watched it. I want to recreate that feeling over and over again for the fans”
