Hip Hop entrepreneur JT The Bigga Figga was shot twice with an AK-47 (like that’s not crazy enough…).  Fortunately this brother survived this incident but man what going on in hip hop where it’s beginning to seem like nothing to shot one another (I don’t think that Rappers Delight was meant to lead to this…).  In no other genre of music does it seem like this is a problem, not pop, rock, dance or country, only hip hop.  Like I said, I’m glad the brother survived.

Now no one know what lead to this incident (although many will speculate that it was an answer to an IG post last week, like they know???) and I really don’t want to speculate, but whatever lead to this it would be hard not to think that maybe online activity may have been the driving force in this incident (like I said before, we don’t know so we shouldn’t speculate…).

What we do know is that JT is an innovative and creative entrepreneur that has established a rap career, a successful indie movie series (The Independent Game), an online movie site (Trap Flicks) and even his own phone product (The Trap Phone).  All these are amazing accomplishments for this hip hop legend (who is really not that old at 42).  JT has brought a lot to hip hop and hopefully has a lot more to give.

This is a horrible tragedy and we wish him a speedy recovery but really, has the online chatter in certain hip hop sites gotten out of hand?  Are many speculating on things that they have no real knowledge and putting maybe certain celebrities in harm’s way?  Can this behavior be considered healthy at all?  Well it is hip hop…
