Youtube covers are a staple in today’s music environment and Youtube’s choice of using the idea Best Covers Ever is a great 1st step into YouTube’s 1st serious step into original programming.  This idea is such a gimmie and it stays true to what YouTube is about, different and creative programming.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Fox doesn’t try to acquire this show but YouTube should stick to its guns and take a real shot at being the new cross between HBO and Netflicks.  YouTube is in a position to do some real damage because they have access to so much content and Alphabet is so cash flushed.  They have the resources to really navigate a win.

Ludacris is a great choice for the host and the concept is solid.  I can’t wait for the next Pentatonix, Jessica Sanchez or Vanjess to blow up to stardom due to this new and creative show.  This is a good idea that’s overdue.
