Ja Rule “Fresh Out The Pen”

Alright this is one that many wanted to see what’s up.  Ja Rule has dropped this one and it’s entitled “Fresh Out The Pen.”  Well this certainly’s  not the Ja Rule that was teamed up with Ashanti.  This Ja Rule has a chip on his shoulder and wants everyone to know it.

Ja Rule’s power was as a pop phenom so it’s going to be interesting to see where he goes with this rougher and tougher Ja Rule.  Here’s the stats:

THE TRACK- 4($$$$) This beat is cool (more of a mixtape beat)

THE PERFORMANCE- 4($$$$) ja Rule sound’s more like he came from No Limit on this one as opposed to Murder Inc….

MUSCLE- 2($$) it gonna need muscle to get up the hill (a lot).  Ja will create a lot of interest but in this market, interest last for about 3 weeks….

JUICE- 2($$) radio will definitely be in a wait and see mode….

LYRICS- 3($$$) man I heard a lot of No Limit references (#LSMH).  These lyrics had jailhouse practice all over it.  Ja Rule pulled it off…

TIMING- 2($$) Ja Rule’s return is news worthy (for the media) the question is will it be relevant to this new generation of fans

TOTAL- 17pts out of 30pts (grade C+)  everyone will check this one out.  So we’ll see…….
