It’s been a while since I’ve done a GetAtMe HotNewHits, but I really felt it was time again.  The landscape of the music scene has changed so much that HipHop and Pop are constantly merging on a day today basis. That’s why it’d easier for me to label this new music genre HipPop.  The songs we have this week are a true definition this new genre. 

• We start out this week with Alesso ft Liam Payne MIDNIGHT (I just don’t get why HipHop dj’s don’t that the dj/singer combination works, it’s crazy...)  these two have come together to put together a nice sultry hit titled MIDNIGHT...SCORE 24.5 
• Next, we have the new Drake Joint TOOSIE SLIDE.  Drake find another trendy cut that keeps him at the top taking this Tik Tok dance and combining it with a quarantine video (well it worked...) SCORE 23.6 
• Our 3rd song is a cut a new group Young T & Bugsey (and they have a hit...)  This cut combines a dancehall feel with a trap groove that makes this pocket really work on the dance floor... SCORE 23.2

 Ok here’s this week Urban Radio Report.  Drake still hold down #1 

• Drake still hold the number 1 slot with TOOSIE SLIDE in urban radio spin increases this week with over 1390 spins (reporting a cume of 22,994,000 national listeners...) 
• Megan Thee Stallion SAVAGE stays at number 2 with over 730 spin increases (and a cume audience of 14,878,000 national listeners... 
• 3rd is the new group Young T & Bugsey DON’T RUSH (from the DON’T RUSH challenge) with over 670 spin increases and a cume of 3,873,000 national listeners (this was just their 2nd week really so that’s why the low listener count...) 
• Number 4 is Roddy Ricch HIGH FASHION with a spin increase of over 590 spins and a cume audience of 13,786,000 million national listeners... 
• And at number 5 is Lil Baby SUM 2 PROVE with over 519 spin increases and a cume audience of 15,495,000 miliion national listeners... 
• Yella Beezy HEAD LOCC ft Young Thug had the most adds this week with over 52 stations and our wildcard pick this week is DaBaby ROCKSTAR ft Roddy Ricch (this cut has heavy Buzz action and strong iTunes actions

“All Me” Drake ft 2Chainz & Big Sean

Now this one’s bubbling under (there’s way to much Drake shit out there to break a single.  There’s a lot of Drake freestyles out there.  You can only work one record at a time).  This one’s cool but the bars (who got them bars) thing is getting to be a little over the top.  This business is about hits.  Bars are cool but hits pay the bills and justify the investments.  “All Me” is sort of an insular view of what’s going on in this artists life (which has nothing to do with the fans.  They buy when they’re entertained.)  Here’s the stats:

THE PERFORMANCE- 3($$$) Drake, 2Chainz and Big Sean do their thing, but we’ve heard all this before……

MUSCLE- 2($$) Drake has a lot of juice in the streets, but the real indicator is the cash register….

JUICE-  2($$) this is a mixtape record, radio will support this for drake.  We’ll see……

LYRICS- 2($$) Bars that are just bars go nowhere.  Bars have to lead to a hit song……

TIMING- 2($$) like I said earlier, there’s so many different tracks out there that Drake runs the risk of being overexposed.  This cat’s fans are for real loyal and when he decides to remember it’s about them, then we’ll get a hit.  But right now I guess he’s feels like it All Him.  That’s why he called this “All Me”.
