    The new iPhone 5, along with the new iPods, comes with a new connector that Apple has named the Lightning connector. This 8 pin connector is much smaller than the previous 30 pin connector that Apple has been using for the past decade or so. This big yet subtle change in the dock connector will directly affect all those who already own any of the Apple devices and of course those who purchase the new ones. If you happen to want to use your Apple accessories for the new iPhone 5, you will have to buy an adapter. This will obviously change soon, since any move made by Apple with one device rolls out to the others as well.
