The willingness and courage to try new approaches and accept failure helps us to achieve leaps of innovation and it builds character.  Nothing is more humbling than failing.  Refusing to quit leads to the most gratifying breakthroughs.  Perseverance counts and the humbling experiences of failure creates compassionate leaders who influence others to stretch for higher achievements and breakthroughs.  Failing forward has its benefits to individuals, organizations, and society.

Leaders from small business sometimes become leaders in big business. Along the way, these leaders display various characteristics through challenging times of disruption, change, and challenge to lead their company or business to higher levels of excellence, corporate responsibility, and community action.  They also create jobs and careers along with a corporate culture that creates more leaders to start the cycle again.  Leadership is a pipeline of talent, perseverance, and innovation.  Everyday leaders keep adding to it through mentoring, discovering, searching, and identifying those special people who serve others through their leadership approach.

In every organization I'm a part of women are leading at the highest levels.  I don't see any glass ceilings anymore.  This includes government, non-profits, church, and community.  In my experience, the most qualified people have risen to the top and have key positions throughout the organizations.  Meritocracy seems to reign and that's good for everyone.
