The Extended 3rd Call for Reference Sites is now open until 16th December 2019

The Extended 3rd Call for Reference Sites is now open until 16th December 2019  | EU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT TIPS | Scoop.it
The Extended 3rd Call for Reference Sites is now open! Become a key player in driving regional innovation in active and healthy ageing across Europe. Deadline: 16th December 2019
nicoleta susanu's insight:

European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA)

What is a Reference Site?

Reference Sites represent an alliance or partnership of stakeholders within a region or major metropolitan area. Successful Reference Sites bring together a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. public bodies/care providers, industry, academia and civil society) into a coherent partnership to understand and address the challenges of delivering health and care services to an ageing population. These collaborations drive structural change far beyond the scope any one particular organisation could achieve on its own. They help to create an environment for other regions across Europe to learn, transfer and adapt knowledge to local realities, with regional, social and economic development as the long-term objective.

To be successful, applications should demonstrate:

  • the involvement of government/health/care, research and academia, industry, civil society representatives (quadruple helix).
  • the comprehensive strategies in place/under development supporting an active and healthy ageing population.
  • a response to health, societal and economic challenges to deliver against the EIP on AHA triple win objectives.
  • an alignment or a planned alignment with the EIP on AHA strategy and its three horizontal initiatives: th Blueprint, I2M and MAFEIP.
  • The Blueprint aims to drive innovation in health and care in Europe and is the followup of the EIP on AHA Scaling Up Strategy.
  • I2M targets the scale-up of digital health and care solutions in a cross-border
    context.
  • MAFEIP is the Monitoring and Assessment Framework initially developed in response
    to the EIP on AHA specific monitoring needs.
  • the development of partnerships with other regions for the transfer and exchange of good practices.
  • a commitment to supporting the Digital Transformation of Health and Care.
  • the impact of good practices and the degree that they have scaled up smart health and care solutions for active and healthy ageing.

Call for proposal H2020 Biomarkers for nutrition and health | EU FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT TIPS | Scoop.it
Research Participant Portal is your entry point for electronic administration of EU-funded research and innovation projects
nicoleta susanu's insight:

The main objective of these ERA-NETs is to pool the necessary financial resources from the participating national (or regional) research programmes and the EU and to implement joint trans-national calls with EU co-funding in the above areas (one co-funded call per grant agreement, resulting in grants to third parties). Thematic focusing of these calls should be commensurate with the funds available, so as to ensure a reasonable rate of success in the call. The ERA-NETs should seek synergies with other relevant European and international research and innovation initiatives affecting sustainability and resilience of agriculture and food systems, in particular the FACCE and HDHL Joint Programming Initiatives.

Expected impact:

  •          improve coordination and reduce the overlap between national and EU funding in relevant fields of research;
  •          achieve a critical mass and ensure better use of limited resources in fields of mutual interests;
  •          share good practices in implementing research programmes;
  •          promote transnational collaboration and new knowledge generation and innovation;
  •          mobilise SMEs, when appropriate, in the transnational projects to enhance innovation.
  •          provide mapping of on-going research activities (where relevant);
  •          establish a network of research activities carried out at national and regional level, including a mutual opening of national and regional research programmes (where relevant).
