"Padlet has morphed into a full blown online interactive whiteboard, collaboration, presentation, lesson management system with massive possibilities for teaching and learning. Before demonstrating how I have used Padlet in the classroom in ways I couldn’t have in the past, I’ll give you a quick(ish) tutorial in how it works."

Why choose to use Padlet? Aside from the fact that is free, it does not require that register. Gleeson recommends that as a teacher you create an account so that all the "walls" you create are in one place. This post provides detailed instructions on how to create a wall and includes two projects that he has done with his students. If you have not checked out Padlet I suspect you will after you read this post!

"Wallwisher is a free and user friendly online tool that allows users to create a digital wall of multimedia sticky notes. In addition to text, the notes can include images, links and videos. Create a wall, then invite others to add stickies." Along with a list of ideas on how you might use Wallwisher in your classroom there are several examples to be seen and there is a Google Presentation with 'Nineteen Interesting Ways* to use Wallwisher in the Classroom (*and tips). A primer on some of the best free tech tools for teachers. Richard Byrne recommends 12 "awesome EdTEch tools" and provides an alternative resource (in all but one case) since some may be blocked. Great tools as well as ideas on how to use them in your classroom!

I like this tool. Very useful and it works with iPhones in the classroom!
I'm using Padlet in a variety of ways, including gathering teacher and student ideas and for feedback about any shifts in practise related to the work I do as a Facilitator of Professional Learning for teachers.
