Mia's infographics are amazing resources. This classroom management tool is especially useful for those new to student voice. Here you find a flow-chart of steps to make the rule setting process efficient and the outcome a set of classroom expectations created and owned by the kids.

I have found that students will reinforce the rules with each other when they have actively participated in creating them. Just have to make sure that they do it respectfully. This is a win-win for everyone. |

As more and more schools move towards a one-to-one classroom, the need for students to understand basic rules and routines around digital devices is critical. Find 8 printable posters that address the following rules.
* Eyes on your own screen
* Keep food and drink away from technology
* Respect the laptop
* Keep your password to yourself
* Think before you print
* Save your work!
* Leave tricky stuff to the experts
* Watch where you click (don't visit unapproved sites)
The visuals will help students understand (and hopefully remember) the rules.
