This post will lead you to five Symbaloo's (a website that allows you to create webmixes that are all active links). There you will find eBooks geared to younger readers (or listeners). The topics of the Symmbaloo's are:
* Read to Me - a webmix of 16 read aloud
* National Geographic Kids - 37 non-fiction magazines for kids. Audio available and will read the words to the kids
* B&N Storytime Online - 16 Classic Books read by the author of the book
* Ebook #1 - 23 Books read by actors
* Ebook Set 2 - 35 online books from various sites
* Starfall Books - 42 themed books from Starfall
Each of the webmixes are linked to Symbaloo. These mixes are great to use at school with students or to send home so parents would be able to use them with their children.
A series of Symbaloo sets which link to a variety of ebooks. I will be looking into this with our ipads :)
As a special ed teacher, I am constantly looking for ebooks that will read to my lower readers. This is a great article with links for 5 other pages with ebooks.
This is a great site that with links to eBooks. I especially like how the author provides information about each site, how he uses it, and what the eBooks can do. This is very user friendly for teachers to explore and learn more about eBooks available on the web.
