Possibly some competition for Prezi, but will it be a more of a distraction rather than a tool of engagement?

Alfredo Corell's curator insight, October 7, 2013 6:51 PM
I love "some" Baiba Svenca's suggestions The female teacher at the logo... it's a bit of a cartoon, but the tool works perfectly in your browser and produces animations in 3 modes:-classic, fly-through and walk-through.

Actually it's free... let's have a ride

more of a monologue than dialogue at first sight but maybe I've missed something about the interaction...still learning

Andrew Aker's curator insight, September 5, 2013 5:53 AM

awesome teaching and learning tool!

Melanie Faizer's curator insight, March 10, 2014 9:57 PM

Zeega.com is a great example of storytelling through aggregating and curating, and in addition, embedded, automated attribution. It removes much of the burden of copyright. From a storytelling perspective, it has limitless possibilities, but one of the challenges is finding that story worth telling. Some Zeega examples are beautifully executed; too many are (from a journalistic perspective) one-dimensional in their execution and not thought-provoking. We are still new at curating content, and it shows. Curating is another form of narrating: the story still needs a point, a trajectory.

Alex Grech's curator insight, October 9, 2013 4:18 PM

It's the first time I've taught undergraduates.  I've found myself stripping slides to the core message and trying to find visuals that can communicate that message quickly, simply and yet - resonate.  There is nothing as tough as trying to unclutter the mind and focus on what really needs to be said - as opposed to 'making a point' or simply 'showing off'.  This presentation is about the art of visuals, clear design, and keeping it 'stupidly simple'.

Louise Robinson-Lay's curator insight, January 17, 2014 1:28 AM

While beautiful Powerpoint may seem like an oxymoron  this slideshow proves it is possible.

Narrated Slideshow – Screencast Tool Comparison

Narrated Slideshow – Screencast Tool Comparison | Didactics and Technology in Education | Scoop.it

A screencast is a digital recording of a computer screen with audio narration. Screencasts can include telestrator (‘John Madden pen’) annotations. Narrated slideshows include audio recordings synchronized to images without hand-drawn annotations.

Screencasts and narrated slideshows can be created with two kinds of tools:

1. Browser-based: Create an account on the website and use a modern web browser like Google Chrome or FireFox to record, save and share it.

2. Client-based: Download and install software on a computing device to record and save.

Crear presentación de diapositivas en YouTube

Crear presentación de diapositivas en YouTube | Didactics and Technology in Education | Scoop.it
