Jako niebezpieczne w niedalekiej przyszłości dla człowieka i grożące uzależnieniem przewiduje się: implanty zwiększające możliwości ludzkiego ciała, możliwość odtwarzania własnej pamięci z przeszłości, "wymazywacze pamięci", sztuczną inteligencję, oraz wirtualną rzeczywistość, która chyba obecnie jest nam najbardziej bliska z wszystkich powyższych.
