According to the International for Open and Distance Education, student success is vital to the purpose of open, distance, and e-learning. Good practices include qualification and institutional levels, solid data, honest admission policies and accountability, and whole-institution strategies for student success and the mitigation of drop-out at course. The research "Student Success in Open, Distance, and e-Learning" was conducted from a survey of 53 ICDE member institutions. The report investigates how student success as an indicator of quality and institutional effectiveness can best be supported and drop-out diminished. This could strengthen foreign relations between countries, as the countries would depend on each other to help better educate the students. Personally, I agree with this article and the statement. We should have more open and distance education, to me, there is nothing better than hands-on learning. Therefore, it would be getting the experience up close and personally; ultimately, a better alternative. |
