Educators working towards a "goal is to find and fix the things that might land English learners in a remedial math class they don't need."

In this web page I found different articles, one that called my attention was" Using Blogs to Engage English-Language Learners". It is an article from July 2011 where Jon Schwartz a Second Grade Teacher from Oceanside, CA tells us his experience using blogs in his classes. Even though blogs are not the newest tool it helps a lot to make students improve their writing skill. Managing this type of sources we can involve parents in students' learning process, because they can support students while thei are using internet supervising their work.
This tool was very engaging for Jon's students, for example he had an student that in his perspective was brilliant but in the classes he was afreaid of sharing his work with his partners. Thus, using the blog this student started to published very constantly and in that way the teacher could check his improvement very easily.
