Cool to see ambassadors carry the "gamification is good" message. I've experienced some, "How dare you think about gamification," backlash from the "fathers of gamification". Their attitude was anyone this late to the game and a marketer was suspect.

I just try to learn something new every day. Gamification is a natural ask for me since my background is psychology and I've created a board game (Poetrysalm now RIP). To Gamify is to create engagement and who doesn't need better engagement? A: No One.

Great to see some are accepting of the fact not everyone has already been excited by and is now bored with gamification. The use of game theory in marketing, something we can do thanks to the web, remains exciting, fun and cool to think about and execute.

My story and stikcking to it no matter what the "Fathers of gamification" have to say. A favorite friend said, "Martin there are about 50 'Fathers of Gamification' so just ignore him," and that was the best advice I got that day.

ASIDE, btw until very recently my little whitepaper was out ranking the father of gamificaiton's company on the prhase "gamificaiton white paper", so maybe that was the source of the frustrration. Sorry my father, SEO is my name and out ranking you was my game (lol).
