Jeans shed thousands of denim fibers in every wash. Those fibers, and the chemicals used to treat them, now are showing up in even the Arctic Ocean.

This could be a huge issue that many people don't know about every time they wash their clothing. We lose so many fibers that end up directly in the environment every single time we wash clothes. This is especially problematic now as more and more of our clothing is made from synthetic fibers.
