Overall, it sounds like good news that Newsom wants to protect 30% of CA land. It will be interesting to see what land is picked specifically. Also, does that mean more state parks or is it intended to reduce public access to specific lands completely? Is this the most effective method to enact change or would it be more beneficial to put more effort into critical habitat restoration?
