The U.S. Coast Guard boarded a container ship on Saturday in the Port of Long Beach that dragged its anchor close to a subsea pipeline found to be the source of an oil spill off Orange County, California, it said in a press release.

Usually ships keep an anchor log onboard to monitor and stay within certain parameters. Seems like the search for a vessel that caused the damage to the pipeline is narrowing down. However due to the incident command structure handling the case, knowledge of ongoing developments are compartmentalized and news travels slow.
