It's exciting that the scientific community is coming up with creative solutions to protect whales. I wonder if they could develop a way to safeguard the data to prevent any potential negative repercussions. For example, if the technology could be used in other parts of the world and used by people that are engaged in whaling. Overall, it is still amazing that we are taking steps to protect whales.

I hope they get the funding they need to complete this project and that it brings more attention to the issues that the channelization of our waterways causes.
