No alarm yet but if these events do increase in frequency, which they likely will, then there's gonna be a problem.

Woah. I am often at marina park beach area and noticed the high tide a couple of weeks ago. I am curious to know what approach local homeowners think is the best way to protect their homes if the situation worsens.

This is a problem if sand isn't being properly replenished. Matilija dam allows for sediment to be replenished but has yet to be taken down.
