A widespread investigation has found that communities across Canada are facing a crisis in lead-contaminated drinking water. Even one of the country's most famed, eco-friendly ski resorts is not immune. As Marc Edwards explains to host Marco Werman, the problem is in some ways man-made, and governments are further complicating the situation in the way they're repairing pipes. Edwards was a primary whistleblower in the Flint water crisis but has also been specializing in Canada's water infrastructure for the past decade.

Fisheries are really important in Canada, yet key data about our oceans and the health of our fish is hard to come by. Oceana Canada commissioned renowned fisheries scientists Dr. Julia K. Baum and Dr. Susanna D. Fuller to assess the state of Canada’s fisheries. The report authors spent months scouring government websites and reports and tracking down individual government scientists to build a picture of stock health. Still, the picture is incomplete.

Mysteries from the deep! A more whimsical reader may hope or fantasize about a mysterious sea creature producing eerie noises, but logically this is immediately a subject of national defense. Nothing identified so far, as far as vessels, but submarines haven't been entirely ruled out. Theories, anyone?

My first reaction was that this had the potential to be damaging to marine species and their migration patterns. This is an extremely intriguing article due to the lack of available information. I am curious to know what is going on!
