H2S is no joke. Being heavier than air, it can put operators at risk, so no to landfills. A possible solution would be to grind it up and dump it back in the ocean, where it came from. Maybe even have such a facility or process being run on big boats. Sargasso masses could be trouble for unsuspecting boats.

This is an interesting article and will definitely affect tourism on Florida's beaches. I also imagine the smell will be very annoying for residents that live on the beach. However the article mentioned that it was not very harmful so is it a problem that should be taken very seriously?
