QICI Engine is a free and opensource JavaScript library, based on free and opensource game engine Phaser, with a web-based comprehensive suite of HTML5 game making editor.

QICI Engine is made up of three parts: QICI Core, QICI Widget and QICI Editor.
- QICI Core: A JavaScript Game Engine library that is based on Phaser.
- QICI Widget: A JavaScript UI library for creating rich application with a superior user experience.
- QICI Editor: A web-based flexible and feature rich editor for accelerating HTML5 game development.

QICI Core can be used to make a HTML5 Game by writing code without QICI Editor. But for complex UI, it’s really hard to build and maintain without the help of what-you-see-is-what-you-get visual interface, with QICI Editor even artists and designers can help to build the game’s UI. QICI Widget is used internally to provide all HTML5 UI widgets that is needed to build QICI Editor interface.

QICI Core is a JavaScript Game library, QICI Widget is a JavaScript UI library, QICI Editor using Node.js for File I/O operations, so QICI Engine is a Full-Stack JavaScript Game Engine.

One of the big advantages of using HaxeFlixel is the ability to build your games for multiple platforms. You can build a working Flash, HTML5, Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, BlackBerry and iOS game - all from the same code!

 

So far, we've been working with Flash, and, for the most part, you don't have to do too much to get your game working on other platforms - if you test it under Windows right now, it should mostly work just fine (although, without music, which we'll discuss later). However, you might run into some issues if you try to build it for a mobile device - at the very least, you won't be able to play it without a keyboard. We'll focus on Windows and Android in this tutorial and add a few things to make them work better on those platforms.

Akihabara

I wrote this for fast game developing/prototyping, since Javascript is not only a funny scripting language but is also available quite anytime during the day, for some coding-on-lunch-break (my unique spare time). The engine is not very refined but results are enjoyable on Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Konqueror and Internet Explorer 9 Beta in IE9 mode. Games run in the same way on all these browsers and on all the supported platforms, that are virtually all ;)
