“404 International Festival of Art & Technology”, born in Argentina in 2004, is a non-profit organization which main objective is to promote artistic productions that bring together Arts and Technology, generating an environment where the artists can relate with the community. Over a decade, it has been presented in different countries, such as Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Taiwan, Argentina, and Russia. “404 Festival””, the oldest festival of New Media in Argentina, launches its 12th open-call destined to artists and researchers from all over the world with the aim to spread and stimulate New Media creations.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while Mike, the ever grumpy debt collector, left work weak and weary. He then finds himself in a dark basement car park where silence sleeps. All that could be heard is the echo of his footsteps hitting against the cold, hard concrete floor, and the autopay machine, rumbling. No he is not alone. Not at all.

Now, despite the high cost of creating thousands of 3D printed figurines, a French filmmaker has independently created a short film that uses over 2,500 3D printed parts that were printed using a Form 1+ 3D printer and used over 80 liters of liquid resin. “When I first saw the Form 1 3D printer on Kickstarter, I knew that was what I needed to make a 3D printed film. A quoi ressemble la femme lambda ? Les planches d’anatomie nous le montrent. Et à quoi ressemblent les femmes présentées dans les magazines et les publicités comme des beautés parfaites ? En tout cas pas à la femme lambda ! Il y a quelques retouches à faire… Frédéric Doazan est réalisateur de films d’animation et de films expérimentaux. En 2004, il fonde avec quelques collègues le collectif vidéo « la-cause.org ». Avec deux autres animateurs français, il réalise en 2012 les vidéos d’animation 12fps.net.

Rich Nosworthy : Was honoured to be invited along with other great animators, designers & studios to create an ident for this year's Pause Fest in Melbourne. The theme was 'connected', and ideas were very loosely formed based on sketchbook doodles and some amazing early sound concepts from the very talented Wes Slover of Sono Sanctus. After trying out a lot of stuff, here's what came out: Airspace - Based on the theme of the creative community, as we travel through our differing ideas and inspiration together. Each interaction shapes and shifts the overall result, but the hope of creating something new and unique gives us reason to keep doing what we do. And of course who doesn't like a levitating giant squid monster? ...
