Designartnews.com - Snow By Tokujin Yoshioka, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo | Art Installations, Sculpture, Contemporary Art | Scoop.it

At the exhibition "Sensing Nature" Tokujin Yoshioka presents a 15-meter-wide dynamic installation, "Snow" 2010 (1997-).
The scenery of the hundreds kilograms of light feather blown all over and falling down slowly will call for the memory of the snowscape within people's heart.

Tokujin Yoshioka: “a painting”

Tokujin Yoshioka: “a painting” | Art Installations, Sculpture, Contemporary Art | Scoop.it

Tokujin Yoshioka: :  “a painting”, the piece is 6-months worth of crystal that have been growing, layer by layer, inside a glass tank, 2013, MOT, Tokyo

A work of art that has been ceded to the hand of mother nature. Throughout the whole time the crystals have been exposed to the music from Tchaikovsky’s ballet, Swan Lake. The tonal vibrations and pulsations materialize within the crystal, dictating its final form.
