Der womöglich erste Trojaner für iOS, die nicht von Jailbreaks geschwächte iPhones und iPads befallen können, lautet auf den Namen AceDeceiver. Die Sicherheitsspezialisten von Palo Alto Networks haben heute einen ausführlichen Blogbeitrag veröffentlicht, in dem sie die Funktionsweise erklären. Derzeit besteht zwar keine konkrete Gefahr, da Apple bereits vor drei Wochen von Palo Alto informiert wurde und die von AceDeceiver in den App Store geschmuggelten Apps aus dem Angebot entfernt hat.

Die Analysefirma SourceDNA hat nach eigenen Angaben Hunderte Apps gefunden, die unerlaubterweise persönliche Daten von Nutzern gesammelt und weitergegeben haben sollen. Den Experten zufolge sei das das erste Mal, dass iOS-Apps trotz dieser Funktionen erfolgreich Apples Prüfprozess für den Zugang zum App Store überlistet hätten – und dabei entdeckt wurden. Die 256 identifizierten Apps sollen insgesamt rund eine Million Mal heruntergeladen worden sein.

Kaspersky meldet die erste Malware in Apples App Store


Die schädliche Anwendung heißt “Find and Call”. Sie liest das Telefonbuch aus und verschickt Spam-Nachrichten an alle Kontakte. Sie stand auch in Google Play zur Verfügung. Aus beiden Marktplätzen ist sie inzwischen entfernt worden.
