Galaxy Nexus Pulled From Google Play Store - Galaxy Nexus Banned In US | Geeky Android - News, Tutorials, Guides, Reviews On Android

Galaxy Nexus Pulled From Google Play Store - Galaxy Nexus Banned In US | Geeky Android - News, Tutorials, Guides, Reviews On Android | Android Discussions | Scoop.it
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Banned In United States Galaxy Nexus banned following the injunction from us sales Apple patent violation Galaxy nexus sales banned in US Pulled from Google Play Store US sales...

Earlier we discussed that Samsung's Galaxy Nexus used Apple's patents and hence Apple filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung which would ultimately result in injunction of Galaxy Nexus sales in US market. Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be banned in the US market and neither Google nor Samsung shall try to promote the product in anyway. Pretty bad but seems like its going to happen soon. Samsung even tried to appeal against court's hearing but it back fired and now along with Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung will have to stop its sales of Galaxy Nexus.

To confirm the rumors of Nexus getting banned, Google Play store page for Galaxy Nexus is now showing 'Coming Soon' instead of showing the order details and shipment duration. To speculate , we can say that Google might have run out of stock and once stock arrive the page will change but its likely to happen. With Apple posting a $95.6 million bond for the injunction to take effect, its clear that Galaxy Nexus is banned. Its just that an official announcement is required. Now that Galaxy Nexus is banned in the United States, what will happen to those users who have already purchased the device and those who have booked and are waiting for the delivery. Will Samsung continue to provide service and support for these devices ? What's so important about this device is that Google launched its ICS on this device and now developers at Google are testing Jelly Bean over it. If the ban is official, they might have to work on some other device. There is no official news of any kind regarding the ban.

Google Samsung Unite To Fight Against Apple's Patents - War Of Patents | Geeky Android - News, Tutorials, Guides, Reviews On Android

Google Samsung Unite To Fight Against Apple's Patents - War Of Patents | Geeky Android - News, Tutorials, Guides, Reviews On Android | Android Discussions | Scoop.it
Google and Samsung unite to fight against apple's patents Samsung unites with Google to take on Apple in its patent wars Google and samsung working together to deal with apple patents...

Recently we have seen Apple bringing Samsung into the courts of law for patents violation. As if this was not enough, Apple event caused Samsung a huge loss by imposing a ban on Samsung Galaxy Tab sales in the United States. Apple is also rumored to be working on how to ban Samsung Galaxy SIII which according to Apple is violation of Apple's Siri patents of voice assistant (artificial intelligence). Although Samsung tried to fight back against Apple by filing an appeal in the court against the injunction of Samsung Galaxy Tab, their appeal was blatantly rejected with the statement - Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products

Samsung's please has been responded by Google and apparently both the companies are uniting to fight against Apple in its patent wars. Apple is known for dragging companies to the court for settlement of patents and the outcome is never done in terms of money but completely banning of the infringing product. If this continues, Samsung will soon have to stop its sale in the United States because of Apple's patents. According to Apple, “It’s no coincidence that Samsung’s latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad, from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging. This kind of blatant copying is wrong and, as we've said many times before, we need to protect Apple’s intellectual property when companies steal our ideas."
With a reprimand, Apple is definitely after Samsung and it is not going to stop until Samsung stops copying its patents. Let's see what Samsung and Google united can do to avoid Apple's patent stashes. There is one thing for sure, with Samsung teaming up and uniting with Google, there is definitely some change and twist that we are going to see in near future.

Galaxy Nexus OTA Update to fix Apple patent violation Samsung Google working together to release OTA update to fix apple patents Samsung to seek inquiry into Apple's patent...

Samsung and Google are working together to save Galaxy Nexus from getting banned in the United States. Apple's universal search patent violation that will if not challenged lead to permanent injunction of of Samsung Galaxy Nexus from promoting any kind of sales, marketing and promotion in the United States.  Galaxy nexus is violating four of Apple's patents according to Judge Lucy Koh. This issue has been taken seriously by Google as well as Samsung following the recent Galaxy Tab injunction. Google is apparently working with Samsung to release an OTA update to fix the issue. According to Google, the upcoming software update will fix the patent violation.

Galaxy Nexus Injunction Ban On Sales

Google is taking this issue a step further by uniting with Samsung and challenging Apple's universal patent. All ThingsD reports that - Google and Samsung are also expected to challenge the validity of the patent, seeking a re-examination by the US Patent and Trademark office. Their argument likely will center on the notion that universal search predates the Apple patent.

Galaxy Nexus is strategically very important for Google. It is the first device to get ICS update and will be the fist device to get Jellybean, developers are already working on releasing the Jellybean 4.1 update for Galaxy Nexus.
