Kilimanjaro Expedition Nets More Than $80,000 For ALS/Concussion Research Fundraising efforts surpass $500,000 mark since The Kevin Turner Foundation was founded in 2010 (Nashville, Tenn. – April 8, 2014) The Kevin Turner Foundation has raised more than $80,000 with its Climb For Kevin campaign, a fundraising expedition to the summit of Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro. The two-week trip took place March 18 – April 4 to help boost awareness and funding for The Kevin Turner Foundation, a non-profit organization created to advance ongoing research efforts regarding the connection between ALS and repetitive brain injury. Seven members representing the Climb For Kevin team traveled to Tanzania to summit the 19,341-foot mountain, including Atlanta-based SiriusXM radio host and ACC Network television broadcaster Rachel Baribeau. Filmmaker Jon Johnnidis of Brooklyn-based Axios Productions also accompanied the group to film the entire expedition for an upcoming documentary project, slated for release later this year. “I consider these men and women heroes,” Turner says. “They have made a monumental and
