Students who did about an hour of "mindfulness training" for eight days subsequently did better on the GRE as well as tests of working memory and mind-wandering.
American Institute Health Care Professionals's insight:

A new study shows the benefits of meditation.   Meditation techniques can help improve attention and your memory.   By meditating for 1 hour for 8 days students were able to improve their grades as well as their working memory and their minds did not wander as much.
